If you arrive to a party or restaurant starving, the food there will be irresistable.
At a party, for example, you will be tempted to fill up on chips, pretzels, cake, cookies, and various unhealthy beverages.
At a restaurant, everything on the menu will tempt you, including the most-fattening appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
Sticking to your diet is already challenging enough. Save yourself the regret (and all the extra calories) by going to parties and restaurants partially full.
Here is a small, healthy meal that is great for dampening hunger:
Thirst quencher drink (water, diet soda, tea)
The hard-boiled egg has protein that satisfies hunger and gives a small boost to your metabolism.
The apple provides healthy carbohydrates for energy, as well as fiber which slows the absorption of the carbs and helps you feel full longer.
The purpose of the thirst quencher is so you don't mistake thirst for hunger. Sometimes we eat when we are actually just dehydrated.
To avoid this trap, it is important to quench your thirst before being exposed to all that party/dinner food.
Remember, to lose weight you have to stay in control of what you eat. It can be difficult to retain that control at restaurants or parties.
Tilt the odds in your favor by eating a small meal ahead of time to curb your hunger!
